Domino is a mercenary who has been involved in the fight against mutants and humans who want to destroy her world. She is also a skilled marksman and martial arts adept who has fought alongside Wolverine and X-Force on several occasions.
Domino has an innate sense of luck that allows her to subliminally and psionically initiate random telekinetic acts. These acts alter probability in her favor by making improbable events occur, such as an enemy’s equipment failure or a stray bullet shutting down an overloading nuclear reactor. This ability is unconsciously controlled by her and only works when she is in a stress-inducing situation, such as fighting or escaping.
A Domino set consists of 28 dominoes, which are usually square but can be round or rectangular. Each domino has an identifying mark or pattern on one side and is blank or identically patterned on the other. The identifying mark is usually an arrangement of dots or spots, but some sets have different arrangements. In addition to blocking and scoring games, dominoes can be used to play solitaire and trick-taking games. Many different types of dominoes exist, including woods (including ebony), stone, metals and ceramic clay. In the past, dominoes were made from bone, silver lip ocean pearl oyster shell (mother of pearl), ivory and other natural materials. Today, most dominoes are made from polymer, although older sets were often made from pressed cardboard and other less durable materials.
In addition to her luck power, Domino has superhuman strength and speed. She is an expert marksman with various firearms and knives and is a master martial artist. She is also a capable swimmer and has extensive training in explosives.
During a mission in El Salvador, Domino disabled a prototype combat droid codenamed Jericho by sending it into a feedback loop that caused the operative to become comatose. The device was actually being neurologically controlled by rogue CIA agent Ekatarina Gryaznova. After that battle, she joined a mercenary team known as the Wild Pack (later renamed the Six Pack) led by mutant soldier Cable.
On another occasion, Domino was sent to a cemetery to deliver flowers to a deceased loved one. While there she encountered Spiral, Chimera and Lady Deathstrike who dug up the body of Kwannon. After a short fight, Domino managed to replace the body before the Red Queen could take it as her host.
Domino later rejoined X-Force when Pete Wisdom offered to turn the team into a proactive black ops unit. She became the leader of the group and helped it to disrupt a neural inhibitor planted on her by Gryaznova, which had been preventing her from regaining control of her fighting abilities. However, she left the team again when Halloween Jack snatched her out of time and forced her to relive her previous timeline.
