A Domino’s spokesperson says the pizza is made with fresh, never frozen dough that is stretched thin by hand and topped with a premium blend of mozzarella and provolone and sliced into six big slices. The company also adds that the new pizza features a unique pepperoni and sausage blend that is seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic.
According to Domino’s, the new pie is a good fit for customers looking for a pizza with a little bit more crunch and flavor than their traditional pan crust. The pizza comes in two sizes: small, which is priced at $5.99, and large, which is priced at $8.99. The pizza will be sold in stores starting on November 19.
The new Domino’s isn’t the first to attempt a New York-style pizza. Last year, Pizza Hut introduced its own version of the pie with a crispy artisan-style crust and a pepperoni and sausage mix. It was well-received, and Pizza Hut plans to sell its New York-style pizza nationwide in early 2022.
