Domino Designs Stunning Domino Installations

Domino was once a career mercenary until she fell in love with Milo Thurman, the genius who developed her mutant powers. After Thurman’s death, she joined the Six Pack and allied with time-traveling mutant Cable (Nathan Summers). As a result, her identity was impersonated by Copycat for a while. Domino later partnered with Storm to help safeguard the mutant utopia Utopia, and fought alongside the X-Men for a brief period. She is currently working for X-Corporation in Hong Kong and fighting the third-species mutant organ harvesting movement led by John Sublime.

Hevesh started collecting dominoes when she was 10 and soon began creating mind-blowing setups to share on YouTube. She now has more than 2 million YouTube subscribers and a team that creates domino installations for movies, TV shows, and even events like Katy Perry’s album launch. Her largest displays involve hundreds of thousands of dominoes and take several nail-biting minutes to fall. When Hevesh designs a domino installation, she starts by considering the theme and purpose of the display, brainstorming images or words that might fit, then considers the overall structure of the design. Finally, she determines how many dominoes will be needed to achieve the desired effect.

In the game of domino, a set of 28 tiles is shuffled to form the stock or boneyard. Players draw dominoes from the boneyard until they find a pair that match in value and are then played against each other in turn. The first player to play all of their tiles wins the game. A basic variant of the game requires a double-six set and two players; each player draws seven dominoes from the boneyard. The remaining dominoes are placed on-edge in front of the players, so they can see the values of their opponents’ tiles but cannot see them themselves.

As the founder of a book editing business, I often tell my clients to think about every scene in their novel as a domino that needs to be tipped over. The most important thing is to ensure that each domino in your novel logically relates to the one before it and that the emotional shifts that occur during the plot are reflected in the character’s goals.
